On June 16th and 17th 2017 in the Splendid Hotel in Bečići, NIN magazine, the most widely-read and most influential weekly newsmagazine in Serbia, will organize the sixth edition of the traditional Summit, whose topic is “Regional Financial Stability in Altered Global Circumstances”. As of this year, the Serbian Association of Economists will be an institutional partner of this important regional convention. It is expected that the convention will be attended by governors, ministers of finance and tax administration directors from the countries in the region, representatives of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), the World Bank, EBRD, central banks, ministries of labor and social policy, Mastercard company and banks from the region.

During the two-day convention, governors of central banks will discuss improving the coordination between monetary and fiscal policies, impact of quantitative easing by the ECB, the new FED policy, inflation, nonperforming loans, interest rates, role of the IMF, as well as improved regional cooperation. Some of the topics covered by the panel of the ministers of finance will be the effects of fiscal consolidation and measures to stabilize public finance, accelerating economic growth, reducing public debt, gray economy, balanced budget, impact of European integrations on public finance of the region, structural reforms. The panel on financial inclusion will cover issues such as global partnership for financial inclusion, principles of good financial inclusion, new technologies, educating and protecting the users of financial services, new financial products, socially responsible businesses.
