This year's Strategic Economic Talks were held from 12 to 14 May 2022 at the Kempinski Adriatic Istria hotel in Croatia, with a limited number of participants, under the title "SEE & DACH Region Moving Closer Together", with a focus on economic cooperation between the countries of Southeast Europe and the German-speaking countries. As part of this event, current economic policy issues were discussed with prominent decision-makers from business and politics, entrepreneurs, executives, high-ranking representatives of selected interest groups from industry and economic chambers, experts from various economic sectors and media representatives from Southeast Europe and German-speaking countries.

The event Strategic Economic Talks is an annual business event that aims to present to the international participants the investment and market trends in Southeast Europe as well as to connect the participants and thus promote new investment, trade and business opportunities. The organizers of the Strategic Economic Talks are the non-governmental business association SEEBDN - Southeast European Business Development Network, based in Vienna, together with the TPA Group, one of Austria's leading tax advisory companies. The Serbian Association of Economists is the cooperation partner of this important conference. This year, the collective members of the Serbian Association of Economists, as well as the traditional sponsors of the Kopaonik Business Forum, had the opportunity to attend this important business conference. The President of the Serbian Association of Economists, Mr. Aleksandar Vlahović, participated in the panel: „Southeast Europe Economic Outlook and macroeconomic trends. Growth perspective for Leading companies from Southeast Europe“.

The Southeast Europe Business Development Network – SEEBDN, founded 2018 in Vienna, was established as an independent business association of prominent managers, entrepreneurs and diplomats from the countries of Southeast Europe, Germany and Austria. The SEEBDN comprises the following countries: Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia and the countries of the Western Balkans. Members of the SEEBDN are small, medium and large manufacturing and service companies. The goal of the association is to initiate new partnerships and business opportunities. The SEEBDN promotes investments, partnerships and trade between the countries of Southeast Europe and the EU, especially with Austria and Germany. The SEEBDN organizes suitable and exclusive networking events with respected personalities from business, politics and diplomacy. Furthermore, the SEEBDN publishes the business magazine called “Business Link” up to 4 times a year, in which managers, entrepreneurs, politicians, diplomats, and experts contribute articles on important issues related to cooperation between the aforementioned countries.
