Novica Supić was born in Subotica in 1979. He completed his undergraduate and master's degrees at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad, where he also defended his doctoral dissertation in 2010. In addition, he pursued a master's degree specializing in Quantitative Analysis - Econometrics at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.
He has been affiliated with the Faculty of Economics in Subotica since 2005, becoming a full professor in 2020. His teaching portfolio includes: National Economy, Labor Market and Employment Policy (undergraduate level), Applied International Economic Research (master's level), and Implementation of Scientific Research in Economics and Business (doctoral level).
His research interests lie in the labor market, welfare state, and economic policy. He has contributed to these fields with papers published in international journals, including the journals ranked on the SSCI list. His research findings have been presented at numerous international scientific conferences, including the annual conferences of the American Economic Association, the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy, and the International Conference on Developments in Economic Theory and Policy. Additionally, he has been involved in projects funded by the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia and the Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development of Vojvodina.
Novica Supić served on the Expert Council for Social Sciences at the University of Novi Sad and was a board member of the Fund for providing scholarships and facilitating the progress of talented students and young researchers and artists of the University of Novi Sad. He was also Head of the Department for International and European Economy and Business at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, and the Head of the Doctoral program at the same faculty.
Currently, he holds the position of Secretary at the Association of Economists of Vojvodina, serves as the Assistant of Editor-in-Chief of the journal Panoeconomicus (SSCI journal), and is a member of the editorial board of the journal Business, Management, and Economics Engineering (SSCI journal). He reviews for several SSCI journals, including Economic Change and Restructuring, Eastern European Economics, SAGE Open, and Economic and Social Review. He is a member of the Association for Evolutionary Economics, the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy, and the Association for Comparative Economic Studies.
