Gojko Rikalović is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade.
He graduated in 1975, received his master's degree in 1980 and received his PhD in 1988 at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. Professional experience started at the Institute "Kirilo Savić", Belgrade (1975-1976). He started working at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade in 1976, as an assistant trainee, where he still works as a full-time professor. He teaches: National Economy, Energy Economics, Modern Electric Power Systems, Rural Development, Globalization and Agricultural Development, Natural Resource and Environment Management, Theory of Economic Development, Development Economics.
He was a mentor for 9 and a member of the evaluation committees of 12 doctoral dissertations, a mentor for 70 and a member of the evaluation committees of 80 master thesis, a mentor for 15 and a member of the evaluation committees of 24 magisterium thesis.
He also participated in teaching at the Faculty of Forestry and Faculty of Organizational Sciences of the University of Belgrade, as well as at the Military Academy. He was engaged in teaching at the Faculty of Economics, University of Prishtina (Kosovska Mitrovica), Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka, and at the Higher Business School in Novi Sad.
He worked as an external associate at the Traffic Institute - CIP in Belgrade (from 1994 to 2001).
He has published more than 25 author and co-author books and dozens of articles and scientific papers in domestic and international journals.
He was the Head of the Department for Rural and Agricultural Economics at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade. He participated in more than 30 studies in the field of economic development and policy; he was a member or president of the Working Group in several government councils (Local Agenda 21, Pančevo Municipality (2009), Strategy for Economic Development of the Municipality of Pančevo (2007-2009), Employment Council, Government of the Republic of Serbia (2004-2007), Strategy for Rural Development and Agrarian Policy (2006-2009), Chairman of the working group for the development of Creative Industries in the Ministry of Culture, Information and Information Society (2010-2011), member of the working group for the Development Strategy of Culture of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Information Society (2010- 2011); member of the Republic Audit Committee for control of technical documentation for structures of importance for the Republic (2016 - onwards); member of the Council for Development of City
of Zrenjanin (2015-onward) and others.
He was a member of the Council of Social-Humanities at the University of Belgrade; member of the commission for magisterium (master) studies at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade; member of the commission for PhD studies at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade; Head of the Department for Economic Policy and Development at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade; member of the Teaching commission and the Commission for development at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade; member of the expert team of the Commission for Accreditation and quality control in higher education; director of the Publishing center of the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade, Head of the Entrepreneurship center of the Faculty of Economics; Member of the Managing Board of the Institute of Agricultural Economics, Member of the Scientific Council of the Traffic Institute - CIP Belgrade, a researcher on several research projects under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development; secretary of the editorial board of the journal "Ekonomist", member of the Committee for Economic Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, president of the Society of Economists of Belgrade, member of the editorial board of the journals: "Economic Ideas and Practice", "Economic Views", "Economic Signals", "School of Business", "Acta Economica","Economics Journal" and others. He was a member of the Program Council of the 1st, 2nd 3rd Forum of Creative Economy (2012, 2014 and 2016). He was president and/or member of the scientific board of several domestic and international conferences and round tables.
