Vesna Arsic is a member of Honorable Presidency of the Serbian Association of Economists and a member of the Serbian Association of Corporate Directors. She was a deputy President of the Serbian Association of economists from 2007 till 2012.
From 2012 till mid-2017, Vesna was an Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Kingdom of Belgium and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. She was bestowed from the Kingdom of Belgium with the Grand Cross in the Order of the Crown for enhancement of the bilateral Serbian and Belgium relations.
From 2008 till 2012 she was a state secretary in the Ministry of Economy for bilateral and multilateral affairs. She participated as a head of Serbian delegation in the process of negotiation of Serbian WTO accession and was a head of government representatives for negotiations of the Free trade agreements with Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey and EFTA countries. Additionally, she was a co-chair in OECD Investment Compact Committee.
In 2007-2008 she worked as a Member of the Executive Board of Alpha Bank Belgrade.
From 2004-2007, she became deputy Minister of finance, leading projects such as introduction of VAT in Serbia, pension system reform and consolidation of Treasury system of accounts, as well as, actively participating in drafting of many laws concerning financial system, budget control and capital markets.
From 2001-2004 Vesna took a role of vice governor for Monetary policy in National Bank of Serbia. She was a general manager of two important Projects: Regulations of frozen foreign currency deposits and Implementation of payment system from NBS to commercial banks. She was a member of the Counsel of State Agency for Deposit Insurance and Bank Resolution.
From 1979 till 2001 she was a Deputy General Director of AIK Bank and director for corporate and treasury in Delta Bank Belgrade.
She graduated Economy from University of Nis and has a master degree from Singidunum University-FEFA.
Vesna is a mother of two daughters and a grandmother of three grandchildren.
